No. PhysioDirect is a directory and booking facilitator — you appoint us as your disclosed agent to take bookings and collect payment on your behalf, and nothing more. You set your own fees, choose which requests to accept, decide your own hours, and treat under your own scope of practice and clinical judgement. There is no employment relationship, no rostering, and no clinical direction from the platform.

Several safeguards sit in front of every home visit. Booking requests come only from signed-in patient accounts, and a contact mobile number is required and validated on our system before a request can be submitted. You see the full request — the patient’s stated reason for the visit, age group, conditions, and proposed times — before you accept, and you’re always free to decline anything that doesn’t feel right. Crucially, a booking is only finalised once the patient’s deposit is successfully paid — unpaid requests never become confirmed sessions, which filters out casual or bad-faith requests. Where call masking is available you can also speak with the patient on a private masked number before accepting, and our Home-Visit Safety Guidelines give you an explicit right to pause or end any session that feels unsafe.

Sessions booked through PhysioDirect are covered by our group liability insurance, which sits alongside — not instead of — your own cover. You must still hold your own professional indemnity insurance, as required for any registered physiotherapist regardless of setting; the group policy is an added layer, not a replacement. Many indemnity policies also extend to home visits — confirm the specifics with your insurer.

Claiming and maintaining your profile is free. PhysioDirect takes a share only from bookings made through the platform — no upfront fees, no subscription, no charge for appearing in search. If you take no bookings, you pay nothing.

Patients pay a S$20 deposit when you accept a booking, which is credited toward the session fee. After the session, you bill the balance in one tap from your dashboard — the patient receives a secure Stripe invoice payable by card or PayNow, or you can record a cash payment on the spot. Your dashboard shows every invoice and its status (sent, paid, outstanding), so you always know where your money is.

Our published Cancellation & Refund Policy protects your time: if a patient cancels less than 24 hours before the session or simply doesn’t show, their deposit is forfeited — patients have real skin in the game from the moment they book. Cancellations made 24 hours or more ahead are refunded in full, and if you ever need to cancel, the patient’s deposit is always returned so the relationship stays clean.

When you register or claim your profile, your claimed registration number is checked against the public AHPC register. The badge reflects that check at verification time — it is how patients distinguish genuine, registered physiotherapists from anyone else, and it’s trust that would otherwise take years of independent practice to build. Keep your registration current; you’re required to tell us if it lapses or conditions are imposed.

Every listed profile is checked against the public AHPC register before it carries a verified badge, and claiming a profile requires evidence that you are the registered practitioner. If you find a profile that misrepresents you, contact us and we’ll investigate immediately — and you can opt out of an unclaimed listing entirely at any time.

No — it’s a benefit, not an obligation. You can work purely from home visits, purely from your own clinic, or mix in sessions at our fully equipped Bukit Timah rehabilitation centre whenever a patient is better served in a clinic setting. The centre and its equipment are there for listed physiotherapists to use, without the overhead of building out your own space.

Patient details shared with you for a booking — contact information, health information, home address — are disclosed for that booking’s purpose only. As a registered practitioner you are independently responsible under the PDPA for the personal data you receive: keep it secure, use it only for the patient’s care, retain clinical records per your professional obligations, and don’t use patient data for marketing without consent. The platform’s Privacy Policy and your Terms of Engagement set out the details.

Yes. There’s no lock-in — you can pause your availability at any time or delist entirely with notice. Any confirmed bookings are honoured or the patients’ deposits refunded. The only ongoing commitment is the standard non-solicitation term: bookings introduced through the platform stay on the platform for six months, which keeps things fair for everyone.
